Jerome County Jail Lookup Options
Jerome County publishes inmate and jail report links through the county's Jail Reports and Warrants page. The in-custody head count reflects persons currently incarcerated in the Jerome County Jail. The arrests report contains individuals arrested and booked into the Jerome County Detention Center. The arraignments report contains inmates scheduled for their initial court appearance for the current day. VINE is linked for victim notification.
The local online jail path is not an Idaho Department of Correction prison search and is not a federal inmate locator. It is the county jail custody channel. If a person has moved to prison, probation, or parole supervision, use the IDOC Resident/Client Search. If the person is in federal custody, use federal systems. If the goal is the court case, search iCourt after checking the roster.
This distinction matters in Jerome County because the same arrest can create several records. The jail record may show custody, held-for agency, arrest date, and hold reasons. The court record may show charges filed by the prosecutor, arraignment, plea, dismissal, conviction, sentence, fines, or probation. A sheriff records request may be needed for police reports, photos, or records that do not appear in the roster.
The Sheriff's Office page is shown in the capture from the official Jerome County Sheriff's Office.
The jail roster is strongest for current custody. Filed charges, pleas, and dispositions belong in the court record.
Use the Jerome County Inmate Roster
The county-linked SIRCOMM/Zuercher In Custody report is the official online path for current Jerome County jail roster records. The roster can be searched with basic identity fields and custody filters. Because portal configuration can affect which fields appear, use visible fields as filters rather than assuming every field is required.
- Open the Jerome County Jail Reports and Warrants page, then select In Custody - Head Count.
- Search by name first. Add race, sex, cell block, arrest date, held-for agency, custody date, or release date if useful.
- Review the displayed rows for name, race, sex, DOB or age, cell block, arrest date, agency, release date, and hold reasons.
- Use the arrests report if the person was booked but may no longer be in custody.
- Use the arraignments report if the question is whether a current inmate has an initial appearance scheduled for the current day.
- Call the jail before travel or payment decisions when custody, visit, bond, or release information must be current.
The in-custody search route is shown in the capture from the SIRCOMM in-custody head count.
If the live portal warns that an In Custody On date must be within a permitted range, adjust the date to match the portal limit.
Jerome County Inmate Search Fields
The SIRCOMM inmate template supports identity and custody filters. Static inspection confirmed the field labels but did not expose live option lists for dropdown fields. The app may restrict an In Custody On date to no limit, 7 days prior, or 30 days prior, depending on configuration. Use the reset button when a narrow filter hides a likely match.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Text | Optional unless configured otherwise | Searches inmate name. |
| Race | Combobox/dropdown | Optional | Options load from portal controls model. |
| Sex | Combobox/dropdown | Optional | Options load from portal controls model. |
| Cell Block | Combobox/dropdown | Optional | Options load from portal controls model. |
| Arrest Date | Date | Optional | Date picker. |
| Held For Agency | Combobox/dropdown | Optional | Filters by holding agency where options are available. |
| In Custody On | Date | Optional or read-only | May be limited to a configured date range. |
| Release Date | Date | Optional | Date picker. |
| Search and Reset | Buttons | Not applicable | Runs or clears the roster filters. |
Jerome County Inmate Result Fields
The SIRCOMM inmate result inventory is useful because it shows what the online roster is built to display. It can show booking and custody data, but it does not replace a certified court record, a sheriff report, or a prison record. The research did not find unauthenticated sample rows through static inspection, so the field inventory comes from the official portal template.
Roster entries should also be checked against timing. A person may appear in arrests but not in current custody after release, transfer, bond, or court action. A release date field can help, but it is still a portal field rather than a court order. When the question is whether charges were filed or whether a bond changed, iCourt or direct court contact is the better source.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Mugshot | Image if available, or a generic user icon if not. |
| Name | The inmate name listed in the report. |
| Race and sex | Basic descriptors used by the roster result table. |
| DOB or age | One of these appears depending on portal configuration. |
| Cell block | Housing or location field if shown by the roster. |
| Arrest date | Date tied to the booking or arrest event. |
| Held for agency | The agency for which the person is held. |
| Release date | Release date if listed. |
| Hold reasons | Displayed as a second row under each inmate. |
The controller supports sorting by name, race, sex, DOB, cell block, arrest date, held-for agency, and release date. It also uses 50-item chunks, so paging may matter during broad searches.
Jerome County Jail Contact
The Jerome County Jail and Sheriff's Office share the South Tiger Drive detention-center location, but the county publishes separate phone and fax lines for the jail and sheriff contact blocks. Use the jail number for custody, visit, and inmate-specific questions. Use the sheriff main number for general detention-center routing, records, and law-enforcement office contact.
Official jail contact is especially important when the online roster is close to a real-time decision. Release, transport, court movement, lockdowns, holiday limits, and professional visits can change faster than a saved screen. Call before making a trip, sending mail, attempting a deposit, or relying on a roster row for a deadline.

Arrests, Custody, and Arraignments
The county's jail report labels are plain and useful. In Custody - Head Count is for people currently incarcerated in the Jerome County Jail. Arrests contains individuals arrested and booked into the Jerome County Detention Center. Arraignments contains inmates scheduled for their initial court appearance for the current day. Active Warrants contains a current listing of active Jerome County warrants.
| Report | Best Use | Follow-Up |
|---|---|---|
| In Custody - Head Count | Confirm current jail custody. | Call the jail before visiting or sending funds. |
| Arrests | Check recent booking into the detention center. | Search iCourt for filed charges after arrest. |
| Arraignments | Find current-day initial appearances for inmates. | Confirm hearing information with the court if needed. |
| Active Warrants | Check current local active warrants. | Use the court or sheriff for warrant resolution steps. |
| VINE | Victim notification channel. | Register through the linked VINE route. |
The arraignments route is shown in the capture from the SIRCOMM arraignments report.
After arraignment, filed charges and later disposition should be checked in iCourt or requested from the Clerk of the District Court.
Jerome County Visitation Gaps
Official pages reviewed for this research did not publish a detailed Jerome County Jail visitation schedule, mail policy, commissary vendor, money-deposit vendor, phone-call vendor, tablet program, or price table. That gap should be handled directly. Before arriving or sending anything, call the jail and ask for the current schedule, ID requirements, dress code, mail format, approved deposit options, and any lockdown or holiday restrictions.

Jerome County Booking Records
When the SIRCOMM roster does not answer the question, the Sheriff's Office public-records form is the local request path. It asks for requester contact information, reason for request, delivery method, record type, case number if known, whether the matter involved a fatality, and a description with relevant dates, location, names or DOB, and incident details. Requests must be in writing, and the sheriff form says to allow 3 to 10 business days for a response.
Delivery methods include pickup, mail, fax, and email. The form lists fax 208-595-3309, email jcsorecords@co.jerome.id.us, and mail to 2151 S Tiger Dr, Jerome, ID 83338. A $5 fee applies for each photo disc, and fees may be assessed if a report is over 100 pages. Arrest details, police reports, photographs, and other law-enforcement records may still be limited by Idaho public-records exemptions.
For court copies tied to an inmate's criminal case, use the court records request process instead of the sheriff form. The court form asks for case number, case name, case type, specific documents, file dates, and whether certified documents are requested. That route is better for complaints, judgments, sentencing documents, and certified case papers.
IDOC, VINE, and Registry Channels
County jail custody is only one possible status. The Idaho Department of Correction Resident/Client Search covers people incarcerated, on probation, or on parole under IDOC jurisdiction. That is a different system from the Jerome County jail roster, which is focused on local detention.
The IDOC channel is shown in the capture from the official Idaho Department of Correction resident/client search.
Victim notification is handled through VINELink from the county Jail Reports and Warrants page. Sex-offender registration is handled through the Idaho State Police registry, not through the jail roster. The registry is shown in the capture from the Idaho State Police sex-offender county search.
No official Jerome County Sheriff's Office mobile app link, badge, or app-only inmate lookup was confirmed in the official pages reviewed. Use the county-linked SIRCOMM portal and phone numbers instead.
